Students from the School of Economics, Faculty of Management, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Ms Sonal Singh and Ms Gargi Chander, secured the NSE Market Professional (Level 1) Certification on 13 February 2026 after successfully securing three certification examinations (two intermediate and one beginner level) conducted by the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE-NCFM).
The NSE Market Professional (Level 1) Certification is a lifetime credential that recognises foundational expertise in financial markets and investment practices. The certification evaluates knowledge across essential areas of the capital markets, including equity markets, banking, market operations, and regulatory frameworks.
Through this industry-recognised qualification, Ms Sonal Singh and Ms Gargi Chander have demonstrated strong analytical competence and a sound understanding of financial market mechanisms. The achievement enhances their professional profile and reflects their commitment to academic excellence and industry-oriented learning.
In light of this significant achievement, Vice Chancellor Prof. Pragati Kumar, Dean, FoM, Prof. Ashutosh Vashishtha, Head, SoE, Dr.Roop Lal Sharma, and other faculty members congratulated the students for bringing recognition to the university.
