NSS unit of SMVDU, KATRA organized old clothes collection and distribution drives in university campus under the “Sewa Parv” Campaign. Every year university volunteers collect old clothes, toys and books from staff members and distribute it to underprivileged community including class four employees and construction workers in the campus. The drives were organizing to inculcate the values like sharing among volunteers. The clothes were first segregated according to their size and then people were allowed to choose the clothes as per their requirement. Many male and female workers along with their small children benefited from the donation drive. The event was successfully conducted by the NSS volunteers. NSS Programme Coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar and co-coordinator Dr. Kamaldeep appreciated the efforts of volunteers for the Sewa Parv initiative.
