Demonstrating a perfect blend of adventure, discipline, and social responsibility, more than 50 NCC cadets of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) enthusiastically participated in a trekking expedition to the nearby hills, followed by a cleanliness drive aimed at preserving the natural beauty of the surroundings.
The activity was meticulously coordinated by Dr. Varun Dutta, NCC Coordinator and Mr. Gourav Jamwal, staff member of SMVDU. The objective of the trek was to promote physical fitness, mental resilience, team spirit, and environmental awareness among the cadets.
The cadets trekked through scenic trails, experiencing the thrill of navigating through nature while strengthening their endurance and camaraderie. Alongside the trekking, the cadets also undertook a cleanliness campaign. This initiative reflected the cadets’ deep-rooted sense of civic duty and environmental stewardship.
The initiative received appreciation from the university administration, which lauded the NCC unit for actively engaging in activities that not only enhance the cadets’ physical and mental strength but also contribute positively to society and the environment.
