SMVDU Katra 3rd Nov.: National Conference on Interdisciplinary Aspects of Plant Sciences and 27th APSI Scientist Meet-2017 concluded at School of Biotechnology, SMVD University, Katra. The conference witnessed a galaxy of academicians, scientists, scholars and students from all over the country. There were 5 technical sessions comprising of 2 Key-note lectures, 10 Invited talks, around 30 oral presentations and 42 poster presentations. The conference was organized by generous support from Vice Chancellor SMVDU Dr. Sanjeev Jain, SMVDU-TBIC and J&K Bank Ltd. SMVDU Branch. In order to create awareness at grass-root level, a painting and poetry competition was organized for different categories of participants. All entries for technical and cultural events were judged by expert panel of judges.
Prof. Bhat, Registrar SMVDU and Dean Faculty of Sciences, Dr. S.K. Gupta, Secretary Academy of Plant Sciences India and other members of APSI presided over the Valedictory session and distributed awards and certificates to the meritorious participants. The conference was conceptualized and organized by Dr. Sharada M. Potukuchi, Dr. Ratna Chandra, Dr. Anil Kumar with the cooperation of all the faculty and staff members, research scholars of School of Biotechnology, Dr. Yougal Khajuria, Dean of Students, SMVDU.
