Dean of Students

The office of Dean-of-Students Welfare (DoSW) functions as a centre to promote cooperation and fellowship among students on campus, to build their personality and making their stay comfortable on the campus. The responsibilities of the office includes: hostel administration, extra-curricular activities, welfare, conduct, discipline, fee concessions, and health of students

The office is actively involved in coordinating activities for the welfare of students. Taking into account their socio-economic diversities against their cultural relativism, it provides them facilities to articulate their creativity and aspirations. The students are encouraged to give expression to their talents to enrich our social fabric and improve campus life besides pursuing their academic targets. Liaison between Administration and students. This aims at shaping students into social assets, making them complete citizens alongside their academic accomplishments.

The office ensures that the following are not allowed on the campus: Plying of powered vehicles, reckless driving, possession of valuables/arms, possession/use of intoxicants (alcohol/ cigarettes), Non-veg etc..

Further, as industries look for graduates who are good both in studies as well as extra- and co-curricular activities, well-versed in corporate etiquettes, and have knowledge of additional global languages, and are at the same time good human beings, so the office of the Dean of Students provide them opportunities for participation in a variety of activities, other than those of academics, like:

  • International & National Level Activities
  • University & School Level Activities
  • Sports, and Social & Cultural Activities

In order to give the much needed exposure to the students outside the campus, this office coordinates different cultural and academic tours for them and arranges travel concessions for them. Among its other valuable activities for the students is to maintain and supervise book-shop, stationary shop, to serve the students at economical rates. Further, it supervises cafeterias, hostel mess, and University canteen to serve snacks and eatables at economical rates and under hygienic conditions.

Student Affairs Council (SAC)

The highest level of students’ body is ‘Students Affairs Council’ (SAC). The role of the Council (SAC) is to involve the students of the University in the matters considered relevant to their holistic personality growth and professional development through various activities, not related to their academic programs. The SAC is intended to provide a policy making platform for the students with the support of University faculty and authorities. The composition of SAC is as follows:
