SMVDU: A team from NSRCEL, the startup incubation center of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), visited the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University–Technology Business Incubation Center (SMVDU-TBIC) and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) for an intensive discussion on enhancing the incubation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir. The visiting delegation from NSRCEL was led by Mr. Karthik Choudhary, Program Manager, along with his team members. They were warmly received by Dr. Sanjay Mohan, CEO, SMVDU-TBIC and Chief Coordinator, EDC, along with his team comprising Mr. B.K. Bhatia (Training and Placement Officer), Dr. Mir Irfan Ul Haq (Associate Professor), Dr. Ariff Billah Dar (Associate Professor), and Ms. Divye Duheta Mahajan (Manager, SMVDU-TBIC). The discussions centered around the immense potential of Jammu and Kashmir in fostering innovative startups and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region. Both teams exchanged insights on strategies to nurture emerging entrepreneurs, facilitate access to mentorship, and provide stronger incubation support to early-stage ventures. During the interaction, the NSRCEL team assured comprehensive support and collaboration, including mentoring, training programs, and resource sharing, to help SMVDU-TBIC further its mission of promoting innovation-driven entrepreneurship. The visit concluded on a positive note, with both institutions expressing a strong commitment to work together toward building a vibrant startup culture in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
