Faculty Development Program on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science organized at SMVDU

School of Computer Science and Engineering has organized a Five Days Faculty Development Program on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science under Research Project-126 “Setting up of High-End Computing Lab at SMVDU” from 15-19 Jan 2024. The FDP was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, SMVDU. The participants were faculty members, technical staff, research scholars, and students from engineering and other disciplines of SMVDU. The FDP focused on Deep Learning and Machine Learning, offering a platform for academics and industry professionals to explore theoretical and practical approaches to problem-solving using these techniques. The FDP promoted the exchange of ideas, skill enhancement, and collaboration among researchers in the field. The coordinator of the event was Dr. Baijnath Kaushik, Head SoCSE, and Principal Investigator of the project RP-126.  The resource persons were Prof. Haider Banka (Head, CSE, IIT Dhanbad), Prof. Nitin Aulak, (Assistant professor, IIT Ropar), Prof. P. Radha Krishna (CSE, NIT Warangal), Prof. Amit Prakash (IPU Delhi), Prof. Sudip Mishra (CSE, IIT Kharagpur), and Prof. M. Srinivas (CSE, NIT Warangal). The coordinator of the workshop extended their gratitude towards Sh. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar SMVDU, Sh. Neeraj Gupta, Finance officer, and Ms. Tripti Saitu Gupta, Deputy Registrar (S&P) for their valuable support and encouragement in the smooth conduct of this FDP. The coordinator also extended his sincere appreciation to all the resource persons. The coordinator also appreciated the organizing committee—Dr. Akshima Chadha, Dr. Yusera Farooq Khan, Abhigya Mahajan, and the programmers—Shashwat, Rhythm, and Sudip for their technical support for this Faculty Development Program.
