An educational and experiential learning tour was organized on 18 March 2026 for the BBA students of the School of Business at Surinsar Lake. The tour aimed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom, focusing on personal development, teamwork, and leadership skills.
All activities during this experiential tour were conducted under the expert guidance and supervision of Gp Capt (Retd.) Kamal Singh Oberh of Tawi Adventures. He is a distinguished adventurer and the first Indian to have skydived over the White Continent of Antarctica. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award. Gp Capt Oberh holds a national record in skydiving for jumping with the largest flag in India at the National Defence Academy (NDA) and has the rare distinction of being the first Indian to skydive over both extremes of the Earth.
The tour featured a range of group activities designed to inculcate team building, resilience, cooperation, and leadership among students. In addition, individual activities were organized to enhance agility, decision-making, and risk-taking abilities—essential qualities for aspiring managers and entrepreneurs.
The event proved to be highly engaging, filled with fun, thrill, and learning, leaving a lasting impact on all participating students. The tour was successfully coordinated by Dr. Ketan Bhatt, with active support from Dr. Divya, Dr. Sarabjot, and Dr. Ritu, who also accompanied the students.
The program was organized under the able guidance of Prof. Ashutosh Vashishtha, Dean, Faculty of Management, and Dr. Arti Maini, Head, School of Business. The students and faculty members expressed their sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor for facilitating such experiential learning opportunities, reflecting his commitment to the holistic development of students at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
