Have more than 30 years of research experience. My research interests include Production and manipulations of bioactive phytochemical metabolites from cell and organ cultures, Micropropagation, Medicinal plant conservation Biotechnology, Phytoremediation, Sourcing endophytes from medicinal plants for novel biomolecules, Genetic engineering of Medicinal plant species and Orchid Biotechnology. Currently am working on application of bioreactor systems as Future Technology for production of plant bioactives, value additions through biotic and abiotic elicitation, precursor feeding and production of therapeutic bioactive proteins from plant cultures and endophytes. Have supervised 6 Ph.D. Students and four are pursuing their projects.
