SMVDU Scholar Declared Qualified for the Award of Ph.D.

Ms. Malvika Ashok has been declared qualified for the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU). The candidate has worked on the topic, entitled “Automatic Segmentation of Organs-at-Risk in Thoracic Computed Tomography Images” under the supervision of Dr. Abhishek Gupta, Senior Scientist, Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO), Chandigarh, and co-Supervision of Dr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Associate Professor, School of Computer Science & Engineering, SMVDU. Ms. Malvika Ashok has published various research papers in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals and presented her research papers at international conferences. During her Research period, she received a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from the University Grants Commission (UGC). Currently, the candidate works at a High-end Computing Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning Lab, SMVDU, Katra. The scholar expresses her gratitude to the School of Computer Science and Engineering, SMVD University, for providing all necessary facilities and support during her research.
