Dr. Supran K. Sharma, Dean Faculty of Management conducted a training session on the topic, “Consequences of Covid -19 and Entrepreneurial Opportunities: An Appraisal in the Context of Indian Economy” in the UGC-Sponsored Refresher Course in ‘Commerce and Management’ conducted by Human Resource Development Centre, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. The session was very participatory in nature as faculty members from different Institutes/Universities raised questions related to the topic.
The session initiated with an explanation of different phases of business cycles and strategies and policies to be formulated according to the phases and the level of economic development of the country. Dr. Sharma emphasized that the generation of economic surplus on a continuing basis is essential and divergence from it can be fatal for a venture. The training module was highly appreciated by the participants and while discussing the entrepreneurial opportunities a large number of ventures were discussed and brainstormed during the session.
