Vigilance Awareness Week Observed in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra

The Vigilance Awareness Week was observed at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University from 30.10.2023 to 05.11.2023 as per the mandate of the Central Vigilance Commission, Government of India throughout the country, themed, “Say no to corruption; commit to the Nation,भ्रष्टाचार का विरोध करें; राष्ट्र के प्रति समर्पित रहें” commemorating the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The NSS unit of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, conducted different activities to celebrate Vigilance Awareness Week. The Run for Unity was organized for students, faculty, and staff members in collaboration with the Board for Sports Activities. The run was flagged off by the Vice Chancellor of SMVD University, Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar. A session on vigilance awareness was also conducted for students. The various activities conducted during the session included screening of videos related to corruption in daily life, slogan writing, sharing of views on corruption by students, faculty, and staff members, etc. To spread awareness about complaints under PIDPI (Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers) posters were displayed at various offices of the university. Online “Integrity Pledge” was also taken by university employees during the week available at CVC’s website. An Offline Integrity pledge ceremony was also conducted for employees of the university.
