The design patent for the “Digital Antibiotic Vials Auger Filling Machine” has been granted to Dr. Baijnath Kaushik, Associate Professor and the Head, School of Computer Science and Engineering who is also the Principal Investigator of Research Project RP-126 at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Other collaborative recipients of the design patent include Dr. Akshma Chadha, Dr. Yusera Farooq Khan, Dr. Malvika Ashok (Research Associates), and Mr. Abhigya Mahajan (Research Scholar) under RP-126 at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, SMVDU. On October 19, 2023, the Comptroller-General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Intellectual Property Office, UK issued the patent, which was assigned the design number 6319100. Version 14-2023 of the international design classification falls under the class Medical and Laboratory Equipment and the subclass Apparatus and Equipment for Doctors, Hospitals, and Laboratories.
