Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University conducted a one day hands-on training program on “Procurement through GeM” for Faculty and Staff Members of the University on 22-08-2023. Vice Chancellor Dr. Pragati Kumar welcoming the employees to the Training Program informed that SMVDU adopted GRF 2017 rules in 2021 and since then it is making all procurement strictly in accordance with these rules through GeM. The aim of today’s program was to provide practical training to all Faculty and Staff on how to use GeM effectively. Mr. D D Jha, Deputy Director General /Deptt. Of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry (Retd.) gave an “Overview on GeM” and Mr. Sarthak Khoda State Business Facilitator (Jammu & Kashmir | Ladakh) at GeM conducted two technical sessions on “Procurement through GeM”. Mr. Nagendra Singh Jamwal, JKAS, Registrar, Mr. Neeraj Gupta, JKAS, Finance Officer, Deans of Faculties and Heads of Schools also attended the training program. A total of 209 employees attended the above training. The program was organized by the Stores and Procurement Wing of the University.
