SMVDU Katra hosted visit of students from Govt. High School Kotli Jijjan, Tikri, Udhampur under outreach activity program . Around 50 students along with their teachers and headmaster participated in the visit. The visit was organized to enhance knowledge/awareness among students about higher educational institutions under Rashtriya Avishkaar Abhiyaan (RAA). NSS volunteers of the University accompanied the school team during the visit. NSS Coordinator, Dr. Rajiv Kumar welcomed the school officials and students and gave a brief introduction of the University. Students were motivated to join higher educational institutes after completing their class 12th. During the event the school team visited university labs, auditorium, central workshop, sports complex, hostel etc. In the end refreshment was also provided to the school students. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Headmaster of the school thanked University authorities for hosting the visit. Vice Chancellor, Prof. R.K. Sinha appreciated the idea of such visits in the University.
