The students of M.Sc. Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, namely Ashish Kumar, Tania Chalotra, and Raksha Lalotra, presented a paper and won the best poster paper presentation award at the international conference on “Frontiers of Space Technology and Applications for Humanity” organized by the Central University of Jammu in collaboration with Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram.
The students worked under the supervision of Dr Indu Bhushan Faculty, School of Biotechnology, and were assisted by the PhD Scholars, namely Atin K. Pathak, Malvika Mehta, and Chitrakshi Chopra. The students highlighted the assessment of the agriculture field through remote sensing and GIS for crop health and their role in the Agriculture Industry, Renewable Energy Sources. They also interacted with academicians, research scholars, and scientists, and shared their ideas related to internet technologies, digital India, and smart cities.
