One day webinar on “Overview of Smart Manufacturing Systems “ was organized at School of Mechanical Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in which more than 100 participants registered online webinar across the country. Dr. Balbir Singh, Convener, delivered an introductory speech on the evolution of technologies, how they that made human life comfortable. Prof. M. Eswaramuthy, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, welcomed all participants, and highlighted the importance of Industry 4.0 in the present scenario.

Super Filter Industries , Jammu, showcased the best qualities practices adopted in his industry and spoke on the changing trends in manufacturing industries.Prof. Iqbal Ahamd Khan, Head, Mechanical Engineering Department, GNIOT, Greater Noida, emphasized the importance of smart manufacturing and steps toward its achieving in the industry while highlighting the potentials of associated technologies such as augmented reality, additive manufacturing, cyber security, autonomous robots, big data analytics, Industrial Internet of things (IIOT), etc. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks.
