NSS Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) in collaboration with BSA organized “Fit India Freedom Run” under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav’ in which around 250 students and staff members participated in the event. The run was flagged off by Dr. Balbir Singh, Associate Professor, School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU. Dr. Singh also briefed the gathering about the significance of such runs. The run was conducted encompassing the university campus in the morning hours. Two singing performances were also performed after the run including singing of “Vande Matram” by Sharnam and group. Dr. Parvez Slathia, President BSA, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Program Coordinator, NSS, Sports Coach, Balbir Singh were also present during the event. The entire event was successfully coordinated by the NSS volunteers and sports staff.
