A team of 14 members from SMVDU took part in a three day trekking camp organized by Patnitop Development Authority, Kud from 28th – 30th September, 2021. The SMVDU trekkeing coningent comprising of 13 students (9 boys and 4 girls) along with one Sports coach participated in the Sanasar to Shankhpal trek.
The trekking team was given send off by the Vice-Chancellor, Padma Shri Prof. Ravindra Kumar Sinha, who motivated the students to take part in such extracurricular activities. The participation of students in the trekking camp was an initiative from SMVDU Registrar, Sh. Nagendra Singh Jamwal who also took part in the trekking expedition.
Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Balbir Singh, also encouraged the students at the send-off. The sports wing of the university led by Mr. Parvez Singh Slathia, In-charge Sports, supported by Sports Coaches Mr. Sumit Sharma and Mr. Balbir Singh made other necessary arrangements required for participation in the trekking camp.
