SMVDU Katra, November 2019. The 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was celebrated in the auspicious premises of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra. The event was organized by the Sikh Sangat of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University and SMVD Narayana Hospital, Katra. The event started with paath of Sukhmani Sahib followed by Kirtan and Gurbani Vichar and, Guru ka Langer was served. Everyone paid obeisance to the Guru Sahib and got the blessings of Guru Sahib. The Sikh Sangat whole heartedly honoured Prof. R.K Sinha, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU and Mr. Dutta Dattatreya, Facility Director, SMVDNH in the function. The teaching from the life history of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the basic tenets of Sikhism namely Naam Japna, Kirat Karana and Vand chakna were reiterated in the event.
