SMVDU Katra, 25 March 2019. A meeting of Special Committee for monitoring the TEQIP-III project was held on Monday, 25th March 2019, at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, where the agenda items related to the procurement of equipments & software, organizing conferences, short term courses, FDPs, industrial visits, placement activities, soft skills training, special lectures by experts from industry, MoUs, startup activities, green environment activities, equity related activities, and others were discussed. The meeting was Chaired by the Padam Bhushan Prof. K. L. Chopra, Former Director (IIT, Kharagpur); and also graced by Dr. Sanjeev Jain, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, and Mr. Amit Vermani, Deputy CEO, Shrine Board. Other attendees were: Prof. VK Bhat, Registrar, SMVDU; Sh. Romesh Singh (KAS) Finance Officer, SMVDU; and Deans and Heads of various Schools and Sections, SMVDU. The focus was on the maximal utilisation of funds provided by the World Bank for developmental activities related to academics and research. Dr. Sumeet Gupta, Dean, Academics, SMVDU, informed the committee that NPTEL/SWAYAM has scored Grade A to SMVDU for its good performance. The meeting ended up with a formal Vote of Thanks.
