SMVDU Katra, 19th March 2019. Ms. Vidushi Abrol, Research Scholar, Dept. of Biotechnology, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, (SMVDU), has brought laurels to the institution by bagging 1st Prize in Oral Presentation for her paper, titled “Improvement of Tolypocladium inflatum Through Chemical Mutagenesis for the High Yield of Cyclosporine” at National Conference on Fungal Biology: Recent Trends and Future Prospects & 44th Annual Meeting of The Mycological Society of India, held at University of Jammu. Ms. Abrol has been pursuing her PhD under the joint supervision of Dr. Sundeep Jaglan, Scientist, CSIR-IIIM, Jammu, and Dr. Sharada M. Potukuchi, Associate Professor, Dept. of Biotechnology, SMVDU. Her research work has been highly appreciated and in the past couple of months, and she has achieved many awards including 2nd Prize in the oral presentation at three-day National Conference on “Interdisciplinary Aspects of Plant Sciences” and 27th APSI Scientist Meet, which was organised by the School of Biotechnology, SMVDU, Katra, in collaboration with the Academy of Plant Sciences, India, during 2nd-4th Nov., 2017. Ms. Vidushi Abrol thanked Dr. Sanjeev Jain, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, for providing her a high-class research environment at SMVDU, and expressed her gratitude to her supervisors.
