8 SMVDU students selected for remote internship in Google Summer of Code 2018

SMVDU Katra: 8 students of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University are selected for remote internship in Google Summer of Code 2018. Namely, Mani Karan Singh will be getting opportunity for internship in AOSSIE, Sandeep Chauhan in Python Hydra, Nilesh Gulia in Plone, Sushil Khanchi in PSF (Mercurial), Vaibhav Rai and Shrikrishna Singh in Coala, Parth Verma in Performance Co-Pilot, Sameer Sengar in CDLI; whereas, Shruti Singh in Mozilla will be the outreachy. The Google Summer of Code is an international annual program in which Google awards stipends to all students who successfully complete a free and open-source software coding project during the summer. Notably, some senior students from SMVDU will be mentoring the selected students. The mentors will be Mr. Mohit Kumar Bajoria for Mifos Initiative, Mr. Pulkit Goyal for PSF and Mr. Arjun Singh Yadav for Coala. Their achievements bring pride to the university and inspiration for other students. Dr. V.K. Tripathi, Chairman, Publication & Media Cell of University congratulated the team of students.
