SMVDU Katra: As Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is to visit SMVD University in the first week of May, Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjeev Jain chaired a review meeting with all Heads of the Dept., Deans of various Faculties and Training and Placement Cell. The visit is to take place to re-accredit the University for Students’ Placements. Dr. Jain laid emphasis upon all necessary preparedness for the visit. Each department and sections were instructed to ensure readiness on contours like strengths and opportunities, patents, significant projects and identified research areas and plans, faculty publications, students’ achievements, and relevant other academic records. TCS will also conduct an extended interactive session with students.
Faculty profile including the profiles of Adjunct Faculties of each department shall be displayed updated on the website; the tidiness of all labs and equipments is to be ensured in advance, instructed Dr. Jain. A special committee will also be set up by Vice Chancellor for a mock drill before the visit of TCS. Prof. V. K. Bhat Registrar, Prof. V. Verma Dean Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Vandana Sharma Dean Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Sumeet Gupta Dean Academic Affairs, Mr. B. K. Bhatia Training and Placement Officer, Prof. Baijnath Kaushik, newly appointed Associate Professor in Dept. of Computer Science, who was also extended a welcome by Vice Chancellor, attended the meeting.
