Five-Day Training Program on ‘ Disaster Management and Risk Reduction Initiatives through Forestry and Others’ for IFS officers is going to be organized at School of Business, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University during January 21-25, 2019 with financial support of Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India. The training programme aim to provide practical expertise and examples of applied knowledge which will equip the officers with all relevant skills and tools needed in order to effectively respond to both natural and man-made disasters and resulting complex emergencies. The course utilizes existing strategies and tools, practical exercises, case studies, and interactive multicultural discussion to explore the key issues faced when handling disaster situations. Five– day training program is planned exclusively for those IFS officers whose name appears in the list of trainees provided by sponsoring ministry for this event.
