The valedictory session of a week-long online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Mathematics and Its Applications in Science and Engineering” concluded at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.The program was organized by Faculty Development Centre, SMVDU, in collaboration with the School of Mathematics under PMMMNMTT Scheme of Ministry of Education, GoI. Around 60 faculty members of Indian colleges and universities attended the FDP.
Dr. Uday Pratap Singh, Head SoM and Convener of the FDP, presented the report on the FDP. Dr. Singh informed that the FDP was very lively and interactive, and a good feedback had been received from the participants about the sessions. During the FDP, the participants were sensitized concerning the latest developments in the Mathematics and recent trends in the interdisciplinary research. Sessions of the FDP were conducted by eminent Mathematicians from reputed Universities, IITs, IIITs and senior faculty members from SMVDU, said Dr. Surender Singh, Coordinator of the FDP.
Prof. Ravindra K. Sinha, Vice Chancellor, SMVD University and Registrar Shri Nagendra Singh Jamwal congratulated the organizing team for the successful organization of the FDP.The valedictory session was attended by, Prof. A. K. Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Prof. V. K. Bhat, Dean, FoHSS, SMVDU, Dr. Supran Kumar Sharma, Coordinator FDC, SMVDU, and Dr. A. K. Das, Director, DQA, SMVDU. Dr. Vivek K. Singh, Co-convener of the FDP proposed the vote of thanks.
