Padmashree Prof.Ajoy Kumar Ray, professor at IIT, Kharagpur in the Dept. of ECE Engineering, delivered a guest lecture at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra.His talk was on theinterface between management, technology and socio economicdevelopment wrt the need for interdisciplinary education and on lesser segmentation. Prof. Mukhopadhyay, Dean, School of Business, SMVDU, welcomed the esteemed professor, highlighting his achievements in the filed of science & technology.Prof. Ray, also a former Vice-Chancellor of Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibporand former Director of Indian Institute of Science and Technology Shibpor, West Bengal, emphasised that great technological changes are needed for the survival, and management needs to focus on upgrading knowledge as well as technology. Dr. H. G. Mishra, Coordinator of the event, presented a vote of thanks to the esteemed guest and the gathering.
